Who we are

You Got Golf ("we", "us") is an AI golf-swing coaching app operated from Belgium. You can reach us at hello@yougotgolf.com. For the purpose of the EU GDPR we are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect

  • Account data: email address (required for sign-in) and, if you sign in with Google, your Google display name and avatar.
  • Profile data: display name, age, handicap, dominant hand, mobility level, and injuries — only what you choose to enter.
  • Swing data: the golf-swing videos you record or upload, the pose landmarks extracted from them, the detected faults and metrics, and the coaching feedback we generate.
  • Technical data: minimal logs needed to keep the service running (timestamps, error traces, anonymous request metadata).

Why we use it

  • To authenticate you and keep your swing history private to your account.
  • To analyze your swing and tailor drills to your profile.
  • To improve reliability, debug failures, and protect against abuse.

We do not sell your data, do not use your videos to train third-party AI models, and do not show advertising.

Where it's stored

Account, profile and swing data are stored on EU infrastructure provided by our backend host (Supabase, in the EU region). Videos are stored in a private bucket and are only accessible to you. AI coaching feedback is generated through the Lovable AI Gateway, which processes your detected faults and metrics (not your raw video) to produce the written analysis.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account from the in-app Profile page, we permanently remove your profile, your swings, and the videos tied to your account within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. The fastest path is the Delete account button on your Profile page. For anything else, email hello@yougotgolf.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority (in Belgium: the APD/GBA).

Cookies

We only use the strictly necessary storage required to keep you signed in (a session token in your browser's local storage). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Changes

If we change this policy in a material way we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
