Takeaway Gate Headcover
Set a headcover a foot behind the ball just inside the target line and keep the clubhead outside it going back.

Hoe doe je het
Place a headcover on the ground about a foot behind the ball and an inch inside the target line.
Take your normal setup and address the ball.
Swing the club back so the clubhead passes outside the headcover, never over it.
Complete the backswing and check the shaft at the top is no longer pointing left of target.
Hit 20 balls, resetting the headcover whenever you clip it.
Doel
Stop the takeaway dragging inside, which is what leaves the shaft pointing left at the top.

Feel the clubhead stay out away from your body as it passes your trail foot.
Vermijd deze fout
Lifting the club up and over the headcover instead of taking it back wider — going up rather than out just swaps a laid-off top for a steep one.
