How to do it
Tape or hold an alignment stick along the outside of your lead arm and down the shaft.
Take your address position, keeping the stick against your arm.
Make slow backswings, feeling the stick stay in contact with your arm as long as possible.
Repeat, gradually building to a full-speed swing without the stick.
Goal
Feel the lead arm staying extended through the backswing instead of folding early.
Feel cue
Feel your lead arm staying long against the stick as you turn back.
Mistake to avoid
Locking the elbow rigid, which restricts the turn instead of just keeping the arm long.
