How to do it
Set up to a ball with a mid-iron and take your regular grip.
Start the takeaway by turning your chest, keeping the clubhead brushing the grass.
Let the wrists begin to hinge only once the clubhead is a full two feet behind the ball.
Finish the backswing normally once the hinge has started.
Goal
Delay the wrist hinge until the body turn has already started the club moving.
Feel cue
Feel the clubhead stay low and heavy, brushing the grass, for the first two feet.
Mistake to avoid
Lifting the hands to keep the club low instead of letting the chest turn move it.
