How to do it

  1. Take your grip at about 3 out of 10 pressure, light enough that the club could almost slip.

  2. Make slow takeaways, keeping that light pressure through the first two feet.

  3. Notice the clubhead's own weight starting the wrist hinge once your hands pass your trail thigh.

  4. Build back up to full swings while keeping the same light pressure at address.

Goal

Remove the tight grip pressure that keeps the wrists locked and blocks a natural hinge.

Feel cue

Feel the clubhead's weight wanting to swing the wrists open as your hands pass your trail thigh.

Mistake to avoid

Gripping tightly again as soon as the club starts moving.
