Hands Height Mirror Check
Pause halfway back in front of a mirror and check the hands sit at the correct height relative to the shoulder line, neither too low nor too high.

How to do it
Set up side-on to a mirror or camera with a mid-iron.
Take the club back slowly and pause when your hands reach hip height.
Check whether your hands sit clearly below your shoulder line (flat) or clearly above it (steep).
Adjust the turn, not just the arms, until the hands sit level with the shoulder line, then continue the swing.
Goal
Give a visual reference for a neutral swing plane, correcting either a flat or a steep tendency.
Feel cue
Feel your hands sit level with the natural line of your shoulders as they turn.
Mistake to avoid
Manipulating the hand height with the wrists instead of letting the body turn set it.
