How to do it
Push a tee into the ground just outside the heel of the clubhead at address.
Take practice swings first to confirm you can miss it with your normal swing.
Hit shots, focusing on chest rotation rather than lunging toward the ball.
Note how often the tee survives; adjust your distance from the ball if it keeps falling.
Goal
Give immediate physical feedback the moment the body or hands move too close to the ball.
Feel cue
Feel the toe of the club reach the ball while the heel stays clear of the tee.
Mistake to avoid
Don't aim the ball toward the toe to dodge the tee — keep your normal setup and let your rotation control the distance.
