Mirror Trail-Arm Fold Check
In front of a mirror, swing to the finish and check that your trail arm folds up across your chest instead of staying stretched out low and left.
- Duration
- 6 min
- Reps
- 3 sets of 8
- Equipment
- mirror
- Level
- Intermediate
How to do it
Stand facing a mirror in your golf posture.
Make a practice swing to a full finish.
Check that your trail arm has folded up with the elbow near your ribs.
If the arm is stretched out low, reset and let the whole swing rotate through it again.
Repeat for 3 sets of 8.
Goal
Build a visual habit of a released, folded trail arm that confirms the club exited up and around rather than low and left.
Feel cue
Feel your trail elbow bend and settle near your ribs as the club swings up.
Mistake to avoid
Manually folding the arm at the very last second for the mirror without letting the rest of the swing produce it — a posed finish that isn't connected to the actual swing won't transfer to real shots.
