Shoulder-to-Target Checkpoint
Stick an alignment stick in the ground pointing at the target and swing to a finish where your trail shoulder ends up closest to it.
- Duration
- 8 min
- Reps
- 20 balls
- Equipment
- alignment stick
- Level
- Intermediate
How to do it
Push an alignment stick into the ground pointing straight at your target.
Take your setup and swing normally through the ball.
Turn your trail shoulder until it points down at or past the stick.
Check that your hips and torso rotated to get there, not just your head.
Hit 20 balls, resetting the checkpoint each time.
Goal
Give the eyes a visual finish target so the body has a reason to keep rotating.
Feel cue
Feel your trail shoulder chase the stick until it points down the target line.
Mistake to avoid
Turning the head and shoulders to "look" at the stick without rotating the hips and torso underneath — a head-only turn fakes the checkpoint without fixing the stall.
