How to do it
Push a tee into the ground about two feet past the ball, on the target line.
Take your normal setup and address the ball.
Swing through so the clubhead is still accelerating as it passes the tee.
Let the finish happen naturally from that continued speed.
Hit 20 balls, checking that the finish looks complete each time.
Goal
Replace a steering, decelerating motion with one continuous swing that finishes with speed.
Feel cue
Feel the clubhead still speeding up as it passes the marker, well after the ball is gone.
Mistake to avoid
Speeding up your hands right at the ball to "hit" the marker instead of keeping one smooth continuous motion — a last-second hand hit is the same steering habit that causes the deceleration in the first place.
