How to do it
Push an alignment stick into the ground about two inches outside your lead hip at address.
Take your normal setup and address a ball.
Swing back normally, then start down by pushing your lead hip out into the stick.
Keep your head where it was as the hip moves.
Hit 20 balls, noting how many made stick contact before impact.
Goal
Give the pressure shift a physical destination so it either happens or it visibly doesn't.
Feel cue
Feel your lead hip pocket press out into the stick as the club starts down.
Mistake to avoid
Leaning your head and chest toward the target to get the hip out there — the upper body should stay behind the ball while only the lower body moves.
