Late Hinge Takeaway
Take the club back with almost no wrist hinge until your hands pass hip height, keeping the clubhead low and far from you.

How to do it
Take your normal setup with a mid iron.
Start the club back keeping the wrists quiet and the clubhead low to the ground.
Stop when your hands reach hip height and check the clubhead is still outside your hands.
From there, let the wrists hinge naturally as you complete the backswing.
Repeat for 3 sets of 10, slowly at first.
Goal
Delay the wrist hinge that pulls the clubhead in close and shrinks the swing arc before the backswing is half done.
Feel cue
Feel the clubhead stay way out behind you, chasing the ground, until your hands reach your hip.
Mistake to avoid
Locking the wrists completely so they never hinge at all — you still want a full hinge, just later than you have been doing it.
