How to do it
Stand with a mirror behind you so you can look over your trail shoulder at the top position.
Swing slowly to the top and stop.
Look at the back of your lead hand and check it is flat, not arched toward your forearm.
If it is arched, back off halfway, reset the wrist flat, and rebuild the position.
Hold the corrected position for 3 seconds, then repeat for 8 reps.
Goal
Replace a hard-arched lead wrist at the top with a flat one so the face arrives square without a last-second save.
Feel cue
Feel the back of your lead hand sit flat like a tabletop, straight in line with your forearm.
Mistake to avoid
Weakening your grip at address to make the wrist look flat in the mirror instead of changing the wrist itself — that just moves the shut face from the top down to impact.
