Scale Under Lead Foot
Stand with your lead foot on a bathroom scale and watch the number climb as you reach the top of the backswing.

- Beginner
How to do it
Place a bathroom scale where your lead foot goes and stand on it in your normal stance width.
Note the reading at address.
Make a slow backswing and watch the reading as you reach the top.
If the number drops or stays flat, rebuild the move until it climbs before you start down.
Repeat for 3 sets of 10 slow swings.
Goal
Turn an invisible pressure shift into a number you can actually read, so you know whether it happened.
Feel cue
Feel your lead foot getting heavier and more loaded as the club nears the top.
Mistake to avoid
Pressing down with the lead foot while keeping your body centered — real pressure comes from the body moving over that foot, not from stamping on it.
