How to do it
Hold one club across your shoulders and rest another across your hips, in your address posture.
Turn slowly to the top of your backswing without moving your feet.
Check the two clubs: the shoulder club should have turned about twice as far as the hip club.
If they are nearly parallel, hold your trail leg braced and turn the shoulders further.
Return to address and repeat for 3 sets of 5 turns.
Goal
See and feel the right amount of shoulder turn and hip turn, and the gap between them.
Feel cue
Feel your shoulders keep turning after your hips have slowed down.
Mistake to avoid
Letting both clubs turn the same amount — if they stay parallel to each other at the top, the hips are doing too much.
