How to do it
Stand about an arm's length from a wall, facing it.
Lift your lead arm across your chest into the position it reaches at the top of your backswing.
Press the back of your lead hand flat against the wall.
If only your knuckles reach it, your wrist is cupped — flatten the wrist until the whole hand lands.
Hold each flat position for 3 seconds and repeat for 3 sets of 10.
Goal
Give the lead wrist a hard surface that only a flat wrist can meet, so the cupped position has nowhere to hide.
Feel cue
Feel the whole back of your lead hand flat against the wall, not just your knuckles.
Mistake to avoid
Bending your elbow or turning your shoulder to get the hand flat — the flat position has to come from the wrist itself or nothing changes in the swing.
