How to do it
Hold an alignment stick horizontally across your chest with both hands.
Make slow rehearsal downswings, watching where the stick points relative to your hips.
Adjust until the stick stays ahead of your hip turn rather than falling behind it.
Repeat for 3 sets of 10 before removing the stick and hitting balls.
Goal
Give a visible reference for keeping the arms and chest connected and out front through the downswing.
Feel cue
Feel the stick stay pointed ahead of you, not dragging behind your turn.
Mistake to avoid
Don't grip the stick so tight your arms tense up — hold it lightly across your chest.
