Hip Stop Line
Lay an alignment stick on the ground even with the ball and swing without letting your lead hip cross it.
- Duration
- 6 min
- Reps
- 15 balls
- Equipment
- alignment stick
- Level
- Intermediate
How to do it
Place an alignment stick on the ground even with the ball, pointing toward the target.
Take your normal address just behind the stick.
Hit shots making sure your lead hip does not slide past the stick before impact.
If your hip crosses the line, shift less and turn more on the next rep.
Goal
Limit how far the hips are allowed to slide before they must rotate instead.
Feel cue
Feel your hip turn away from the line rather than push past it.
Mistake to avoid
Don't freeze your hips to avoid the line — still shift, just stop and turn instead of sliding through it.
