Film yourself from directly behind the ball and draw a line from your toes to see where your body is really aimed.

How to do it
Set your phone on the ground or a stand directly behind the ball, on the target line.
Take your normal setup and hold it for three seconds while recording.
Pause the video and draw a line along your toes and another from the ball to the target.
Check whether the two lines are parallel or converging.
Adjust, re-record and repeat for 5 setups.
Goal
Replace what alignment feels like with what it measurably is.
Feel cue
Feel how wrong a square setup looks on screen the first few times you check it.
Mistake to avoid
Filming from beside the ball rather than from directly behind it — an off-angle camera makes a square setup look closed and sends you correcting a problem you do not have.
