Glute Squeeze Address Reset

Squeeze both glutes for three seconds while in your address posture to pull the pelvis out of its forward tilt.

Duration
5 min
Reps
3 sets of 10
Equipment
none
Level
Intermediate

How to do it

  1. Take your golf posture with your hands on your hips.

  2. Squeeze both glutes gently and hold for three seconds.

  3. Notice how the arch in your lower back reduces on its own.

  4. Release halfway and keep that lighter engagement as you take your grip.

  5. Repeat for 3 sets of 10.

Goal

Switch the glutes back on so they hold the pelvis neutral instead of the lower back doing all the work.

Feel cue

Feel your back pockets tighten and your tailbone drop slightly underneath you.

Mistake to avoid

Squeezing so hard your legs straighten and you stand up out of posture — this is a light three-second hold, not a lift.
