Hold Neutral Through the Swing
Set a neutral grip and make ten slow full swings without letting your hands re-shuffle on the handle at the top.

- 8 min
- Reps
- 10 swings
- Equipment
- club, tape
- Level

How to do it
Build a neutral grip and mark the position of your lead thumb on the handle with a piece of tape.
Make a slow full swing and stop at the top.
Check whether the tape is still under your thumb or your hand has shifted.
Swing through to the finish and check the position one more time.
Repeat for 10 swings, rebuilding the grip after any slip.
Goal
Keep the corrected grip intact through a full swing instead of sliding back to the old position under load.
Feel cue
Feel the handle stay welded to your palms and fingers all the way from address to the finish.
Mistake to avoid
Gripping harder to stop the slipping — a tight grip creates its own problems, so fix the hold with a better finger placement, not more squeeze.
