Parallel Left Feel Reset
Set your body deliberately along the train track that runs left of the target, and hit shots until aiming there stops feeling wrong.
- Duration
- 10 min
- Reps
- 20 balls
- Equipment
- alignment stick
- Level
- Advanced
How to do it
Lay one alignment stick pointing from the ball to the target.
Lay a second stick along your toe line, parallel to the first, so it points left of the target.
Build your feet, hips and shoulders to the second stick.
Notice how strongly this feels like aiming left, and hit a shot anyway.
Hit 20 balls, taking the sticks away for the last five and trying to keep the feel.
Goal
Recalibrate a golfer who aims their body at the target, which always leaves them closed to the ball's actual line.
Feel cue
Feel like you are aimed well left of the flag even though the sticks say you are square.
Mistake to avoid
Drifting back to aiming your body at the flag once the sticks come away — the exaggerated feel is doing the work, so keep trusting it for at least a few sessions.
