Sit in a chair and rebuild your grip from scratch twenty times, checking the finger line each time.

How to do it
Sit in a chair with a club resting across your knees.
Build your lead-hand grip with the handle in the fingers, then check it.
Add the trail hand and check that both hands sit in the fingers too.
Let the club go completely and start again from scratch.
Complete 20 rebuilds, doing the last five with your eyes closed.
Goal
Build enough repetitions of a correct finger grip that it stops feeling strange over the ball.
Feel cue
Feel the handle sitting in your fingers the same way every single time, with no hunting around.
Mistake to avoid
Doing a handful of reps and calling it done — a palm grip is usually years old, so it takes hundreds of quiet repetitions, not ten, before the new one feels normal.
