Shoulder Tilt Mirror Check

Take your driver setup facing a mirror and check that a line across your shoulders tips down toward your trail side.

How to do it

  1. Stand facing a full-length mirror with a driver.

  2. Build an iron setup first and look at how level your shoulders are.

  3. Switch to a driver setup and tilt your upper body away from the target.

  4. Check in the mirror that your shoulder line now tips down toward your trail side.

  5. Alternate between the two setups 15 times so the difference registers.

Goal

Let the golfer see the difference between a level iron setup and a tilted driver setup.

Feel cue

Feel the tilt in the mirror look far bigger than it feels in your body.

Mistake to avoid

Dropping your trail shoulder by slumping it forward rather than tilting your whole upper body — a slumped shoulder rounds the back and does nothing for your launch angle.
