How to do it
Take your normal address position with any club.
Without moving your arms, hinge your wrists so the clubhead points at the sky.
If it feels heavy or stuck, soften your grip pressure and try again.
Lower the club back to address keeping the same soft pressure.
Repeat 15 times, using it as a pre-shot check.
Goal
Give the golfer a two-second test that exposes grip tension before every shot.
Feel cue
Feel the clubhead flop up easily, like your wrists are on a hinge with no rust in it.
Mistake to avoid
Forcing the hinge with your forearms when the wrists won't move — the point is to notice the block and soften the hands, not to muscle through it.
