Step-Through Finish

Let your trail foot step around and land beside your lead foot after impact to force the body to keep rotating.

How to do it

  1. Take your address position with a mid-iron, no ball needed at first.

  2. Swing through impact and let your trail foot come off the ground and step toward the target.

  3. Land the trail foot beside or just ahead of your lead foot, facing the target.

  4. Hold the finish for two seconds before resetting.

  5. Once comfortable, add balls and keep the same step-through finish.

Goal

Replace a stalled body with a continuous turn all the way past the ball.

Feel cue

Feel your trail foot swing around and plant next to your lead foot.

Mistake to avoid

Don't just lift the trail heel — actually let the foot travel and land forward.
