How to do it
Take your normal setup and swing at about 75% speed.
Notice how your trail foot reacts after impact — a hard yank forward means you slid too far.
Adjust by feeling more rotation and less lateral shift on the next swing.
Repeat until your trail foot drags softly onto its toe with a balanced finish.
Goal
Use balance as feedback for how much lateral slide happened in the downswing.
Feel cue
Feel your trail toe stay light and easy to drag, not yanked off the ground.
Mistake to avoid
Don't force the trail foot to stay flat — let it respond naturally to how much you rotated versus slid.
