How to do it
Take your rebuilt grip and address the ball.
Swing the club back slowly until your hands reach waist height, then stop.
Check that the toe of the club points straight up at the sky.
If the face is pointing down or back at you, reset the grip rather than twisting your arms.
Repeat for 3 sets of 10.
Goal
Link the grip you built to what the clubface actually does, so the change is confirmed by the face and not just by knuckles.
Feel cue
Feel the clubface stay in line with your lead forearm as the club reaches waist height.
Mistake to avoid
Twisting your forearms at the last second to make the face look right — that hides the grip problem and just builds a new compensation on top of it.
